Meet Dr. Rod
Dr. Rod believes leadership begins long before anyone gives you a title.
As an educator, mentor, author, and longtime chiropractor, Dr. Rod has spent his career helping people recognize what they are capable of. His own journey, from earning a doctorate despite dyslexia to years spent teaching and mentoring students, shaped a simple belief. Young people become stronger when they understand who they are, how they respond to challenges, and the influence their choices can have on others.
Today, he brings those lessons to life through stories, classrooms, leadership programs, school visits, and conversations that help young people learn to lead themselves before they are ever asked to lead others.
Leadership is not about titles, popularity, or being the loudest voice in the room. It begins with the choices we make when no one is watching.
Extraordinary isn’t something you become. It’s something you uncover.

One of the first things we talked about in the mastermind was that rhinos need thick skin. This idea truly stuck with me because, before, I used to let criticism and setbacks get to me. Whether it was the fear of failure or worrying about what others thought, I'd lose momentum at the first sign of a challenge. But this mastermind helped me shift my perspective. Now, instead of letting obstacles derail me, I face them head-on.
Something I have learned in the mastermind that has changed how I act is the shift in my mindset to be confident in my abilities and be my own person. Prior to this experience, I always doubted myself and thought my goals were out of reach, but through learning the importance of setting both short-term and long-term goals, I have been able to feel a sense of accomplishment and self-motivation.
The mastermind helped me push through that fear by encouraging me to take risks and trust in my abilities, instead of overthinking every decision and holding back. The mastermind boosted my confidence by surrounding me with like-minded individuals who were all working toward their goals. The accountability and support helped me trust myself more and realize that I have what it takes to succeed, even if it feels intimidating at first.
It begins with the young people we encourage today.
